If you deal with chronic back pain, you know that it can difficult to get relief. Your spine is always moving and it's affected by everything you do, even just sleeping and breathing. Instead of just taking ibuprofen or simply putting up with the pain, you should try to stretch your back out and relieve the stress on your spine with yoga. Yoga Journal spoke with Alison West, an expert on yoga therapy, about using certain types of yoga to alleviate back pain. West suggests five poses to try including a child's pose variation and a seated back extension.
